Hi guys

Don't know if Im allowed to be here after such a long time but it has been extremely harrowing experience. I put mum in the nursing home for a week whilst I put the house on the market so i could get rid of all the mobliity contraptions and make the house look nice.

Mum was in there for a total of nine days and I had to fly back to ZA so left my carers to watch over her. There was a two hour window from my carers going in and the home having to do their job -

this is what happenend



not only did she fall once but 10 times and another fall after this - her arm is broken in two places and she was left without any pain relief for two days whilst they 'decided' it was broken. For 1500 Bp a week I think this whole thing is appalling my father is dehydrated and they leave the 'food' out of reach and the water. My chooks get better care. I have contacted Social Services here and they are looking into to it. I am suing the home and now I have mum back with no help and people coming in to view the house it is all very distressing.

Anyway I have decided to take them home to ZA we may have guns and robbieries and and, but at least they will have better care.

I cannot believe how these 'care homes' get away with the a) the cost and b) the selling of how 'caring they are.
I have had to leave my father there because I simply cannot cope with the two of them, but am taking food in to help him.

This country 'sucks' and I have had the weather, the red tape, the 'fannying about' and generally everything - I have two viewers coming to the house this week and will take any offer just to get my parents home,even though the house is worth a lot.

Besides all this my supposed carers have stolen everything of value and the head carer/manager just left when I asked her where all their stuff was. It was packed in boxes and put in the loft and external garage - totally cleaned out of everything - all my mums paintings, china, silver glass ware, jewellery everything. My one really sad thing thing is my great grandmother had a Winnie the Pooh book signed by AA Milne as she was a friend and she left it to me - gone.

I cannot help but think that I must have done something so terrible in my life to deserve all this and my poor mums' illustrated books by my grandfather of the Cunard Shipping Line Queen Mary and original Elizabeth all gone - stolen

I believe in Karma so don't wish any bad things on these people but I expect they sleep better at night than I do at the moment

Holy cow, WW! I am speechless. I just can't even imagine. Hugs....... At least if you file a police report, there is a chance that when things get sold, they might get traced back to you. Rare autographed books tend to draw some attention. You do need to check in here more. We are always willing to listen and even though we physically can't help, sometimes it just helps to have the ability to vent to someone.

Oh whoop whoop I've been wondering where you have been - my memory isn't very good. How terrible? Is it possible to get a news service or newspaper to investigate?

What brazen criminals they are. The photo is proof enough - your poor parents and you. It may be just as skunky as some places in USA but, the news services live for stories like that, they can dig in the dirt and broadcast.

Believe me you haven't done anything in life to deserve the horrible misfortune that dogs your heels.

Hope justice will be served.

Someone needs to get in touch with the JointCommision.org they are a national independent governing authority on health care if these people lose accreditation means no insurance company will work with them and Medicaid and Medicare will drop them like hot potatoes
