we used to pan fry fish when we'd go camping......I want fresh fried fish for breakfast.When I was a kid, my best friend and I did a lot of night fishing. When we would get home my Mom would cook some of the fish as quickly as we cleaned them. I'm not certain they make women like that anymore.
growing up, we had access to a river, close to the coast......several of us boys, would ride our bikes thru the pasture carrying various camping gear, our rods and reels, and pellet guns.......
early evenings and morning, were spent hunting for rabbits, and squirrels........after dark, we would fish, and continue thru the night.......
always carried the black iron skillet, some crisco, little salt and flour......
the fella what had to carry the skillet always complained......lol.....difficult to handle while carrying the pellet gun, rod and reel, and riding a bike, thru a pasture, on a cow trail.......
