It's 43* right now with a high predicted of 45*. It's been pretty windy here but that's fine, it's melting the snow and drying up the mud.

Mornin' chicken friends, predicting about 15" of snow here today so I'm off to the grocery to buy supplies for my upcoming dog show weekend. Going to spend he day grooming dogs and cooking food for the weekend.
Well it never reached the high 50's yesterday as predicted but it felt balmy while I was working on the coop at a comfortable 46F. Hey, maybe they'll be wrong about the 15" today too...... doubt it but a girl can hope.

I hope that you don't get as much sideways snow as they are talking about.
15" isn't all that bad, until the wind stacks it over 5 foot high at the end of your driveway.

Was 70 just a couple of days ago, got a couple inches of snow last night.

But we're supposed to be back in the 60s in a couple of days.

Scott, your comment about snow stacked at the end of the driveway made me recall something I heard on the radio yesterday. Apparently there's no law in town about moving snow from your own driveway to the neighbors. That's been happening in town and the police said they can't stop it since it's not against the law so don't bother calling them.

Crazy. That's no way to be "neighborly" (although it's kind of funny to picture the same snow flying back and forth from one driveway to the other).

We are getting thunderstomped at the moment; temperature in the upper 50's, and rain going almost sideways in the wind. When the drama clears out, the wind is supposed to remain; apparently it's escorting in a little reality check for us. Today's high is only supposed to be around 60, and tonight the low is headed into the 20's. Bouncing back up to 70-ish by this weekend, though; "rollercoaster" is right!
