The fires are still on the other side of the ridge from us. We are deep into the valley and are protected by that from raging tree fires. The danger here is grass fires and then if houses start burning.
We cannot have shake or shingle roofs in my county which helps a lot. Ag and other burning is restricted too

Ron, I wish there was some way that I could send you some of the morning we just had. It's been dry around here; a few showers here and there, but nothing to amount to much. Scott said Nate rained on him for a couple of days, but all we got out of that was clouds and humidity.

I guess all that humid air had to give it up sometime. About 9 this morning, it rained.

Then it rained some more.

Then it rained harder.

And still more rain, plus a little thunder and lightning for dramatic effect.

It's still sprinkling just a little bit, and the radar picture is hinting that we may not be done yet, but we've had about 5 inches of rain so far today.

While I fear that kind of precipitation could cause mud slides in areas that have been burned over, it would definitely put a damper on a wild fire.

Accuweater has clouds on Monday the 16th. Hopefully the humidity will go up before then though

Thanks for the offer of rain!

How about smoke? Is your air quality still ok?

Busy week.

Had an essay due today which of course I didn't start till Sunday and even then barely. I really started Monday night lol did the outline and half the essay. then I finished it all morning and afternoon today. Then tonight, same class, I also had a test. It was almost all writing! 5 short answers, a few sentences, so basically like a small paragraph, and 2 long essays. Legit 3-4 PARAGRAPHS... one of those dumb blue book things lol oh and 10 fill in vocab which were sooo easy basic words. But yeah, I NEVER EVER EVER WANT TO WRITE OR EVEN THINK ABOUT WRITING EVER AGAIN AND MY HAND HURTS SOOOO BAD :lau :hit

The good news though is I knew all the answers and I think I wrote really good responses.
