BYC Café

I don't get how people could roll them together. Doesn't seem fair.

Unless maybe they couldn't afford it? Which is understandable. But even then, you don't even necessarily have to buy separate presents even if you just have like a card or make a cake or a favorite dinner or SOMETHING separate from Christmas.

My sister's birthday is Dec.27. I don't remember but I guess she was just given gifts on Xmas day. At some point she let her feelings out and we realized how important it was to keep the occasions separate. Plus birthday gifts had to be wrapped in birthday paper.

My grandmother's birthday was Christmas Day. My mom always celebrated by inviting lots of relatives and had tons of food - my mom was a great cook. I honestly don't remember if she got gifts or not. But she loved all the fuss. I really loved my grandma.
She had a wild sense of humor and would laugh until tears rolled down her cheeks.

My sister got a camera one year and took grandma's picture. The flash surprised her so badly - she nearly leaped for the ceiling. But true to her personality, when she landed she just starting laughing. My mom did NOT share that sense of humor.

I always thought it was more laziness than anything. But that's just me :D

Yeah, you're probably right lol
