That's disappointing! I thought I read somewhere that green cheeks are pretty quiet compared to most conures and very sweet

But i guess "pretty quiet compared to other conures" could still be considered loud lol

Hiya NFC!
I wasn't planning on doing anything for the holidays, but my neighbour invited us to their place for the day. @chickens really invited us to her family Christmas gathering on the 30th.
My neighbour fell off a ladder hanging his outdoor lights a few weeks ago and hurt his back so I went and helped them finish their decorating. Then his girlfriend asked me to help them wrap their presents in exchange for the use of their oven and washing machine! Woo hoi! So I'm going to be baking up a storm today & tomorrow! Made pastry dough the other day but realized I can't use it for Christmas day... I used lard, and someone in their family is allergic to pork.

How about you? Are you all set?

Sounds like you're going to be plenty busy! Cool exchange on gift wrapping for oven & washer. Sounds like you have some good neighbors (and are a good neighbor to them). Enjoy!

We've been planning on driving to my brother's house tomorrow but now we have to wait to see what the weather is going to do. It looks like we're between 2 storm fronts and the road to his house is on the other side of two mountain passes...sure don't want to run into bad weather, black ice or piles of snow driving through that.

Ugh... I remember too well having to drive in horrible weather to get to my parent's house for Christmas. Not fun. Or safe. I know being with family is important but your life is more important so stay home if it starts to turn bad. Especially if you're traveling through mountains.

You're right of course. It will just be disappointing if we can't go. Guess that's better than being dead!
