BYC Café

G'morning cafe :D

Shad, thanks for the coffee. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family!

Did you guys hear that Penny Marshall passed away? I'm bummed. She was the first woman to direct a film that grossed big bucks.

Also Bonnie, of Bonnie and Clyde fame, wasn't buried next to her man because her mama wouldn't allow it. Their families are working to get her body exhumed and reburied next to him :idunno

Have a great day all :frow

Morning Cafe people!

Thanks for the special coffee Shad. I'll have to limit myself to one cup or I'll end up back in bed.

IM, hadn't heard about Penny Marshall. Or Bonnie. Are you reading all the obituaries this morning?

Igor told me about Bonnie, Penny Marshall was on the news this morning.

If I have time to read I'm usually reading here  I have a limited awareness of other news and I trust igor will tell me if I really need to know. Hence, Bonnie and Clyde :gig

My mom told me when she was a little gal growing up in Iowa, the school sent all the kids out to stand by the railroad tracks and watch as the train with the bodies of Bonnie & Clyde went by (not sure if both bodies or just one). Guess that was their version of scaring kids straight.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Shad - all prepped for your trip?
To be honest, not really. I haven't been away for more than a couple of days in many years and I've underestimated what needs doing. It's not just the chickens and ducks (although they are what I will worry about most) there are dogs, donkeys and sheep as well.
Stuff just seems to all need doing when the weather isn't helpful. I can't manage the large tarpaulins in the wind on my own for example and stuff needs covering. You know, the usual farm stuff.:barnie
