Guess what? I have 2 hens that have started to lay eggs again. I wasn't expecting any until late Jan/Feb time frame. Huh, who knew.... I went in to the coop to give them a head of cauliflower to play with while the weather is nasty and I looked around and poof, there they were. However, my DH has been "taking care of the chickens" with feed and water, but apparently not paying attention. I even said the other day when the banty was singing, "Wow! She is gearing up a bit early." She knows better that I do....
I've got two pullets laying which is expected; they don't do the winter slow down if they are under a year old but I've also got an 18 month old just started to lay and that according to the experts shouldn't be happening.

I like going to the Dollar Tree for certain things we use a lot of...my favorite non-mint toothpaste, pens, etc. We heard on the radio the other day our Dollar Tree is closing the end of January. I told DH is they had been able to sell beer for a dollar a can, they could have stayed open. :rant

I was surprised to hear of the Dollar Tree closing. Every time I go in, they're busy. And you would think a town of around 10,000 would be enough to support the store. But the news said they hadn't been able to meet the corporation's profit goals

That leaves us with Wal-Mart :sick and a grocery store. Not much choice around here.

True that! :gig
