So, I noticed that Ocho the rooster had some red on his legs yesterday. Thought I would soak him in some Epsom salts and warm water to clean him up so I can see what was going on with the feet and legs turning red. I don't know if any of y'all have ever seen a rooster fall asleep in a spa bath, but mine did. He was too relaxed I had to hold him up cuz his wings were dropping down into the water. And his Beak was just about resting in his spa bath!

It was pretty funny because first he thought it was bad torture. But the next thing you know he's nodding, his eyes are closed and he just about passed out in the bath. Turns out I think he just really is getting hormonal! I read up on it and it seems like that's what's happening, I see no sign of scaly leg Mite or any other injuries that might cause the redness.

Feel free to weigh in on this if you think I should be looking for a problem, otherwise I'm assuming that he just has hormones and he's turning red because of that.

He’s just getting hornonal haha! All three of my roosters are getting red on their legs and are getting fiesty. My dad was chased yesterday. He doesn’t normally go out there so there’s the reason.

I'm trying to raise a nice roo, so have been listening to @Shadrach pretty closely. My hubs got a good pinch the other day when he tried to just pick him up, but he kinda went about it the wrong way.:p He siad" you deal with him! He's your baby!":gig

My roosters never bother me but can’t stand my dad. They follow my mom around and she never does anything with them. They just like her. Gotta take care of the folks though!

Me too, one of these days we'll have enough left over corned beef to make hash. Glad the canned stuff is edible anyway.

The canned stuff looks like dog food and tastes delicious XD

You're both right, it's edible and looks like dog food and tastes delicious!

When we were little kids we used to do a lot of camping trips. Dad always cooked that corned beef hash on a cast iron skillet over a campfire. Good memories and that stuff always reminds me of my dad :)

That’s always nice to have those memories!

I agree with hormonal! How old is he, do you know Becca?

I've had to do the bumble foot surgery 3 times and each time, the hens would fall asleep in the warm water. It is a funny sight to see!
