BYC Café

You can smell it here. Hopefully it won't get here.
I know a couple of the firefighters here who will have been called out to this. I hope they get back okay. The fires in the woodlands get so hot that the plant roots underground burn. One minute the fire is in front of you and the next it's burning behind you as well.
Brave men the ground fire specialists here.

I'll be thinking of them for sure. Anyone who will fight a fire in a forest is certainly a brave soul.

Indeed!

If I'm not mistaken, one of Margie's sons fights fires like that. Such a dangerous job...hoping everyone is ok.

The really impressive ones are the smoke jumpers!

Sorry to hear about the fires, @Shadrach . Always a bummer. Closest we've had so far is Canada. With as dry a season it's been so far, we're most definitely in for some here.

Had quite the storm here today, though! Finally got some rain at home, just over 1/2". Lucky for me, my garden and my flowers, somehow the hail didn't hit home, but everywhere else. Even had a tornado warning. Very unusual.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Good morning, Café. Boys won both games last night 3/2 and 7/0. They are really starting to play well together. Dental appointment this morning, and then to the Amish market. Supposed to reach the mid 90's today. That plus the high humidity create 'unpleasant'.
That's awesome. Glad he's doing well with his new team !
