I decided to jump in feet first and let Barb out.
Astrid came in to meet the chicks first. Astrid and Barb are BFFs. Astrid is third in command and the broody I just broke a few days ago. She laid her first egg today after snapping out of it.

I haven't seen Daddy bond with them yet but she's only just had them out.

One of the chicks fell over and rolled in the dust bath and now has peat moss stuck to it's back.

Draco, my big Delaware, wandered right up to the chicks, gave one a curious peck. The chick then jumped up and pecked her in the face. Made her jump back. The chick then stared her down and she left!! I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. Barb just watched.
Zero signs of aggression from anyone in the flock. They are all very curious though.
I've spread medicated chick mash all over the rocks on the apron around the run. I also put a glass loaf pan of chick mash in the broody crate so only the chicks can reach that. I'll have to monitor the family and make sure Barb is giving them the right things to eat. I started a thread, concerned about her feeding them the whole grains I feed the rest of the flock but a large portion of their feed mix IS Flock Raiser. I'm hoping she continues to do great with them.
