Cold showers only around here - power's out. Lost it around 1 last night . With only about 20,000 powerless people in New Hanover county, getting the lights back on shouldn't take too long; I saw convoys of bucket trucks when I was out earlier. Considering what might have been, not bad.

Glad to hear from you Bunny! I watched quite a bit of the news reports late yesterday and wondered how you were faring.

So a little more baseball playing to do then. Will your grandson play football too once it starts?

No football - not enough meat on his bones for that. He will very likely play basketball, and last year he wrestled.

My youngest son wrestled in high school. After seeing (and hearing) an arm break on another wrestler, that sport made me nervous. He enjoyed doing it, but honestly, I was relieved when it was over.

Older grandson was a good wrestler, but I did not like the sport - someone trying to hurt my grandkid. He eventually had two shoulder surgeries and had to give up the sport. I did not go to any of Rob's meets last year, and will not go this year if he wrestles.

It was just right here today. Sun and cloud mixed. Around 80F something at mid day, and late evening a rapid drop to 60F.

I’m here! Been super busy. Got 3 African Geese today. Got them from a guy my uncle knows. Didn’t charge but these geese have never been on the water and they’re 8 years old. I’ll get some pics later.
