Ouch! Did you have to get a tetanus shot?

Morning Cafe people

Shad, are there a lot of people around you that raise chickens? Are any other forms of poultry popular? Nice to have an avian vet in the area...hope you have a good time at the club today.

Dobie, have a good day at work!

IM, glad to hear your mom's not feeling that injury. My dad had to take blood thinners the last several years of his life. The first time I saw him get a small nick, it was alarming to see what happened (I was much more shook up than he was :p ).

Day off work for me today. Time to get serious about cleaning up, my son will be here later this week...don't want him wondering what sort of mess he's walked in on.
Is the new house finished yet?

Nope, it got put on hold because DH works the golf course 7 days a week, 12-18 hours a day. We're almost done for this season though so it will get done this fall/winter.

Heck, we may just move into it. There are rumors (who knows how true) that the company that funds the golf course may be closing it. If that happens, not only would we both be out of jobs, but we'd lose the company housing we're in now. So, we'll just have to wait and see what happens :idunno

Well, maybe should have? I'm not really sure. I'm a bit of a Sally when it comes to doctors, so I try and stay very far away! It was a new nail, though, not rusty. Swollen, but no sign of redness.

Last I heard, they were supposed to be given every 10 years for a wound like that. Not sure that's still accurate. Sounds like you're taking care of it ok!

That sounds very stressful!

It is good that there is a backup plan

Would you need to look for another job?

Back up plans are always good...jobs come and go so the plans are helpful.

DH would definitely have to find a job. I'd probably just do a part-time thing. At least in Casper, there are a lot more jobs available then where we are now.
