She would look like a perfectly normal hen and very healthy looking too I might as if you didn't know.Yeah, looks like the start of wryneck.I watched Miss Neurological (Bracket) be the last to bed tonight. I had thrown them all off the nest to check the chicks were all there. Just as well because one was missing. She was sort of tucked under the bottom of the ramp.
Anyway, all three hens are trying to get in the nest box as I count the chicks and tonight Bracket was last in the scramble. Bracket hops into the nest box treading on both Nolia and Hinge’s heads in the process. She turns around in the nest box and makes herself comfortable at the top of the pile grooming a bit as she wiggles about. Finally, happy with her position she leans forward and quickly pecks both Hinge and Nolia on their heads and throws her head back and she’s gone; full on star gaze.

Bracket in sleep/trance position. It happens in a second, from normal to this.

She's been doing this for months. For those who may not have read a thread I made about her, I have tried Vitamin E and a few other things. She's top henShe would look like a perfectly normal hen and very healthy looking too I might as if you didn't know.
A lot of complaints fall under the heading of wry neck. As I mentioned above, I've tried a couple of the recommended treatments. Vitamin deficient wry neck and most types of neurologically caused wry neck are apparent during the day. The strange thing with Bracket is connected with her posture. She developed this problem when sitting on a clutch.Yeah, looks like the start of wryneck.

Stress test scheduled next week. So we will see.
Huh, that's bizarre...I watched Miss Neurological (Bracket) be the last to bed tonight. I had thrown them all off the nest to check the chicks were all there. Just as well because one was missing. She was sort of tucked under the bottom of the ramp.
