BYC Café

Good morning, Café. Into the 90's today, storms tonight and tomorrow :fl, and then into the 60's if the weather folks are correct.
It will be November before we see temps in the 60's :barnie

Hang in there Dobie, it will be done before long.

Are you able to get the walk way work done you wanted with the nice temps?
Unfortunately, no. By the time we got back from PA Monday it was 20 minutes before the rental shop closed and it was also raining.
Yesterday I forgot to bring the truck to work and today it's raining again. I'm shooting for tomorrow to get the plate compactor, compacting the base and screeding the finish stones into place and washing them. Maybe apply the bonding agent Saturday.

Mornin', y'all.:frow

Dry, dry, and more dry here - if you don't count the morning fog (have I moved to the Namib?!). We're supposed to get up around 90° again today. October is historically one of our driest months, so this pattern may well continue. Tough on the plants, but (yay!) tough on the mosquitoes, too.

@N F C - I did a double-take when I saw your latest avatar. I would swear I did a jigsaw puzzle made from that very picture of an eagle just a few weeks ago.

It's not winter yet Meg. Last year was very little snow but bitter cold. Some years we get 26-36" inches from one storm but could be over a 2 day period. But sure, two bedrooms available - one with full size bed one with twin.

I'm not into cooked ice cream. But would love someone to do the dishes for me. I'm sure we could work something out. No car. But I ride the senior bus. If I tell them I need you as my caretaker, you can ride along too.

Would love to see pictures!

Well, I can handle the snow a lot better than I handle the bitter cold. A lot of times here they go hand in hand. I keep forgetting it isn't actually winter! Snow is still hanging around. 25 degrees in the A.M. is not helping that situation!

This chest cold is sure hanging on. I sound like I've got a kazoo in my lungs :tongue

Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday!

We never get Fall color in San Diego. There are a few tress that grow bright pink flowers on them. My kids & I call them California Fall trees. I always saw pictures of Fall colors but I never really had an 'oh wow' moment until I moved to Washington state. Now every year I feel totally ripped off cause I know what I'm missing. :hmm
