We were at -14* but are now all the way up to 1*

Next week will be better, we're supposed to be in the 30's!

Haha, I should really quit complaining to you We were supposed to get to 32° today, but we're sitting at 9° and windier than heck. Why must the wind blow??

I've asked myself that same question many times Meg. The only answer that comes back is more wind!

Hope our bad stuff is out of the way for Halloween. I can't recall a year with snow but, have had plenty of cold, windy & rainy Halloweens.

My mother used to let us go for only an hour. Not fair, city blocks are much longer & more houses, than suburban areas. Boy, did we bring in enough candy to last for months, except the good stuff was eaten on sight.

I'm joining Meg with a sick note.
I'm having trouble believing it.
Since the night I took Donk off her nest out on the bank I've had a pain in my lower ribs.
I was in St Celoni, the closest town with a ER dept. I went for an X ray. I've cracked the two lowest ribs on my left side.
I had to reach way over the fence to get Donk; like feet off the ground reach. Of course that means you're effectively balancing on whatever is in contact with the top or the fence; in this case my two lower ribs apparently.
That Donk is going to get me dead one day. She's the only really persistent nest outside away from the coop hen left here. I suppose she's gone to sit and hatch a clutch maybe a dozen times since she hatched, ten of those were outside in some inaccessible location.

It didn't snow much maybe an inch but the bus driver was telling me she saw many downed or broken in half trees because of the weight of the snow. I can't remember that happening. We didn't have high winds. But it was heavy, wet snow. Many trees still have most of their leaves - I guess that made them more susceptible to falling ?
