Glad to hear you're back to your usual self IM!

I went to the orthopedic guy yesterday. He showed me the x-rays and the CT scan, that was interesting to see :)

What they decided was that the osteoarthritis in my foot was so bad, I was walking off-kilter to avoid putting pressure on it. That's caused some soft tissue damage around my ankle. So we're going to try therapy for 2-4 weeks. Hopefully that will help but if not, will have to try either some sort of injections or surgery.

So time will tell  Thanks for asking :hugs
Good luck with the therapy, Debby! I really hope that works for you. :hugsInjections/surgery don't sound fun at all. Did you already know that you had osteoarthritis?

@DobieLover I had a story about a Doberman that I wanted to tell you about and I completely forgot until right now.

When I was a baby I had a seizure upstairs at my grandma's house and she had a Doberman named Jade. Jade started flipping out and running up and down the stairs trying to get the attention of my parents and grandma. My father and mother ran up the stairs as fast as they could because they knew that something had to have been wrong and I had stopped breathing.

My father had to give me CPR while he was waiting for the ambulance to come get me.

Obviously I lived because I am still here today...

Ever since that day Jade had been my best friend. I would lay on the floor with Jade and just hang out with her all day long.

Jade passed away from cancer and that was the last dog that my grandmother ever got. She absolutely loved that dog and knew that dog was a blessing in my life.

I knew I have it in my left wrist but not my feet.

What a wonderful story FC, and what a great dog!

Hopefully, guess we'll find out what helps.

My poor grandmother wants to get a dog so bad, but she is so scared about losing another dog. Jade was her absolute life for the longest time because she got her when my grandfather moved out. Jade protected the house and my grandmother didn't have to worry about anything when that dog was around.

.
Do you experience any swelling or is it all pain? I could barely walk on my right foot before I went to the podiatrist, but then it started to get better so I thought it was the Advil helping. So did the doc, who was basically zero help. It's now moved into my left foot and the knuckle of my middle finger on my right hand. I can PM you if you'd rather not share.

Now I'm not sure what to do  Montana medical, especially where I am, gets a bad rap for a good reason :rant

For me, when I've lost one that was so special, another can't take it's place. But a new one brings it's own brand of special.

Everyone is different of course. I had a friend that lost her long-time tea cup poodle and she almost immediately got a new one. She was sorry later, she admitted she only got the new one to fill the hole the old one left. And it couldn't.

Both swelling, stiffness and pain happen, for me anyway.

It sounds like Montana medical and Wyoming medical have a lot in common. Most everyone I've talked to since moving here will not go to the local hospital or doctors. They'd rather make a 4 hour trip to Denver for any sort of treatment.

Yeah, that sounds about right. It's a running "joke" that you go to our hospital to die. Pretty darn sad.

I'm going to have to try someone else, I suppose...

Yes, it finally went away late afternoon yesterday. I usually feel like I was run over the next day but today isn't too bad.

What did you hear from your most recent xrays? I'm sorry if I missed it!
Hurrah for being headache free!
