That's one of the reasons I keep the rugs that were in the family house when I was a child.
One of my relatives acquired these rugs and were going to burn them because they were dirty.
It took me a while to clean them but I look at them from time to time and think of all the people who walked across them.
Unfortunately having the chickens in the house means they don't spend much time on the floor any more. Oh well, I suppose it's a small sacrifice.

Can you make wall hangings out of one or two of them?

That's very cool.....thinking about all the babies that crawled across and the games that kids played and the older folks who walked across.....very cool things to have kept!

Whoa that's quite a jump in temp!

70 is about my maximum temp that makes me happy.....much beyond that and I get cranky....I love winter...I love snow....but I don't say it too loudly because most folks shake their fists "You love SNOW!?? How can you love snow!??" They get upset so I just enjoy it in silence.

I love the heat. Anything below 70 and I get cranky when it's 100 I absolutely love it! Especially sitting on the deck drinking some cold tea and reading or writing.

I used to have a couple on the wall. It just doesn't look right here.
I put them down when the chickens have gone to bed and I've cleaned up.

My son and daughter in law now live in North Steam-a-lina.....UGH....I drove down and helped them move in their new house in July 2013 and it was 107 and the air conditioner in the house wasn't working. I plan my visits there around the weather....usually go for Thanksgiving and when the children are on Easter break but NOT between April and Nov. HATE IT!!!! And if it's under 85 my daughter in law is wearing a hoodie...... That's why when I decided to leave Ohio....I chose the CT tribe over the NC tribe.
