Sure, but I don't think genetics quite works out that way all the time. Kind of like kids with tall parents and they're short or short parents with tall kids.
I know genetics is weird sometimes. I'm the shortest of my family.

Here are my Silkie boys standing next to a 5 gallon Bucket. One is taller then the other.

Not on my short list - thanks for the heads up. Two of my grand children are adopted from China. Part of the adoption process includes a two week stay in the country. My son and DIL were toured through one of the wet markets. Totally freaked my DIL out to the point that she did not travel to China for the second adoption.
The wet markets do sound dicey!

Just wondering if it'll actually work in making Giant Silkies

I bred my BJG to all my hens and their chicks aren't any bigger than a regular chick. I also have Brahma mixes and they're not bigger than the other chicks either.
JGs are slllllooooooowwww growers. Give em a minute and they might surprise you

Chick size is determined by egg size. A chick can't grow any larger than the egg that it occupies. Chicks from your BJG and large fowl hens should be somewhat larger than their mothers once they are grown.

Grown I meant not in the egg. They're 13 weeks they're still small.
