My husband used to do pig roasts with his friends. He said it was so good and he wants to do a pig roast some day. He said one time they were going to take the pig out and it ran off an embankmentThe best ham I ever had was from a home raised pig!
Yeah most places don't accept rabies unless it's done by a clinic or vet. I bring my dogs to the kennel and they require rabies, distemper, and bordatella.rabbies is required here. They have to be given by a vet or clinic.

I actually went to a drive thru rabies clinic at the fire station that all the proceeds went to the fire station. It was awesome because you just drove through the bay and they gave your dog their shot then gave you the paperwork. A vet donated all her time and vaccines to help the fire station. The turn out was great.
They literally had us put Jolene out the car window butt first to give her her rabiesOh wow that sounds awesome
Neuturing pets is more for their health. You risk higher chances of cancer if you don't. Plus unwanted litters.
I think every pet should be neutured because people just let their pets that are not neutured go outside then they have more animals they can't afford or find homes for.
We just had a stray cat here that was in heat and it sounded awful! I don't know where it was, but I honestly wanted to catch it and bring it to the vet for a spay. Sounded like something dying in a horror movie
I bring my dogs to those clinics at tractor supply sometimes, it depends on when they are but I bring them to the normal vet for the annual exams. It's not really cheaper to go to tractor supply or those clinics because my vet has pretty competitive prices.

Jolene went through her first heat and she's being spayed at the end if this month. I will say the male neighborhood dogs were in our yard constantlyEh, while there’s a lower risk of some cancers, there’s also a higher risk of some other types. Also when done too early, there’s a higher risk of ACL/CCL/ligament injuries in the larger breeds as well as hip dysplasia especially in breeds like Labs and Goldens.
And the unwanted litter thing really isn’t a concern as long as you are responsible with your animals.
That said, the average pet owner is not so I think most animals should be spayed/neutered.
And I’m actually not against it but for me personally I have opted to wait as long as possible to do it, at least 18-24 months, or opt for one of the other alternative options available now like the ovary sparing spays. I think the hormones are important for growth of puppies and a lot of other things. Done too early the growth plates don’t close like they should which is what causes the other injuries.
But that said most boarding places and daycares won’t accept the alternate spays or intact dogs so I’d probably get a full spay/neuter but I don’t really use boarding places anyway and could easily just get a sitter. Especially since I’d have to get someone for the chickens, cat, and fish anyway.
I think most owners should probably just get their animals fixed but I don’t think there is a problem with not if the owner is responsible about it. A lot of other countries don’t even spay and neuter and they don’t have problems. The animals are all kept under control.
That said, cat heats are horrible! Lol Luna went through a couple before we had her spayed (not my choice) and it was miserable!! Hah
That is awesome your vet is so reasonable though!! Our old one was too and the cats mostly is but some stuff not hah
That makes sense! I think it is the same here
Antibiotics are usually given for the secondary infections. My 13 year old had it when she was 6 months old, despite the vaccines. The worst part of it, is that the virus stays in the yard for up to 10 years.Parvo is a virus, antibiotics not effective. Good nursing care is the most important. Intravenous fluids if they have so much vomiting and diarrhea that they can’t stay hydrated.

I will say the male neighborhood dogs were in our yard constantlywe walk our dogs on leashes several times a day they also have a huge kennel to run, but I wouldn't put her in there when she was in heat. I always sit out there with them when they're in the kennel.
A lot of other countries have dogs that live on the street due to them having litters constantly. The US isn't as bad as some countries. I had a friend who went overseas and said there were dogs everywhere begging for food.
