It's a stress thing.

Both cats have a treatable condition called Flea Allergy Dermatitis, they're allergic to flea saliva. Been battling this for a long while, my mom's cat has it worse, since she's more sensitive then mine. Living in a sandy area doesn't help the situation.
Flea baths + Itch Soothing Baths + Flea drops.

We spray the furniture, & carpets with flea killer too, but it does very little. Summer is horrible when it comes to fleas.

Since it's cold out now, fleas aren't really much of a problem right now.

If she still does it it might be something else like a food allergy or something

My aunt has a harness for her cats. I stayed there for a week and trained her cat with it. Basically I put him in it then I'd take it off increasing the amount of time. Then I added the leash. Once he realized he could go outside he didn't mind it. He was crazy rolling in the grass. He passed away last year, but he was a pretty cool cat.

That’s what I want to try to do with Luna. Been putting it on and giving her treats or playing with her and taking it off haha I might just try to use the harnesses we have currently rather than buying another. I’m sure it will be fine. I think I could maybe tighten it. Idk.

Yeah it could possibly be a good or environmental allergy or something.
Lucy is allergic to a certain weed that grows outside and if we don't cut the grass before it grows her face breaks out and bleeds. We have someone that cuts the grass weekly so that it doesn't have a chance to grow. First time it happened, it was quite the experience.

Yeah make sure it's tight enough so she doesn't slip out. Not so tight that it's squeezing the life out of her but enough so you can fit a couple fingers under.

Doesn't explain why she started it up after coming home from the vets. She never done it before going to the vets.

Have you changed her food at all?? Though if it started after she got spayed, it likely has something to do with the hormones. The vet may have something to help with that or there are probably hormone supplements and stuff online.

Nope, she's been on Purina naturals, & soft food since I got her.

Hormones? I didn't think hormones can make a cat yank fur from their body. We can't afford the vets right now.

Maybe it's just a coincidence that it happened at that time, I wouldn't blame a spay on a cat acting like that. Only way I could think it would cause hormonal issues or stress is if the cat was allowed to go through too many heats before it was spayed.

Oh wow that sounds awful!! Poor baby!! :hit

And yeah that’s what so usually try to do but it’s hard because they’re Velcro so doesn’t adjust very much. I have two of those. One in the smallest size and one next smallest as well as a regular type buckle harness that does adjust but it’s already as small as it goes I think but maybe not. Need to look. The Velcro one is hard because the smallest one almost seems too small for her but the bigger one seems too big and it also will ride up on her neck cause the straps are so wide. So it’s hard. I think I should probably buy another. Maybe a mesh one from the pet store haha

I did see this one that seems amazing and has had a lot of testing to be sure it’s actually escape proof on Houdini cats buuuuuuttttttttt...... I don’t really want to spend almost $60 on a freaking cat harness right now haha I don’t even know if she will like walking. But maybe one day! Haha they are gorgeous. Leather and 4 amazing colors. Love that green/sea foam type color. :love

She only went into heat twice before she got spayed.

Yeah I was thinking some sort of hormone imbalance or stress or something from the spay.
