Good morning cafe.
@ronott1 I heard SF is being asked to shelter in place. Is there any talk of that near you?

Oh, boy. I bet that was painful! Ouch. Makes me cringe. I've never had sloe gin. But if it's anything like regular gin, I'm outmy dad once stood on a blackthorn and it went through the sole of his shoe and 1" into his foot. They are really hard and very sharp. But as Shad said, the chickens appreciate the cover they provide, and they do look very pretty for a couple of weeks in the year. It's a long time since I've had sloe gin but I think I liked it![]()
I think it will, too. I saw a video yesterday of people lined up and down streets in New Orleans and the police driving down the center telling everyone to go home or to their hotels. You'd think people could've figured that one out on their own, but...I think social distancing will help a lot but the people who literally will not leave their houses is stupid. Get outside in the sun and fresh air!
Good morning cafe.

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee, Sour. Any word from your daughter?
Roads are very quiet this morning. Grey and some snow on the ground. Seems like that color is going around!
I'm going to try the local feed store to get some feed, checked the TSC website and they don't have what I normally buy. Thanks for the heads up on the possibility sour! Hope all goes well for your family.I hope that I am wrong, but my gut says that may be coming here in NJ. Just got back from TSC. The feed shortage was evident there. Was unable to get the dog food that I usually use, but did get some that I can mix in. They are expecting a corporate conference call this afternoon, and the rumor is that they are shutting down. Only a rumor - not fact.
Nothing since last night, Meg. They were in NC on their way home. Planning to drive straight through stopping only for coffee, fast food, gas, and bathroom breaks. It's a case where 'no news' is 'good news'.
Thanks!Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made. There's an olive loaf on the counter and the last of the Kumquats.
Grey and not particularly inspiring here this morning.
Going into the village later to get some fruit and veg. Don't need much thankfully.
A couple of interesting developments here. I make note of them because I assume what happens in Europe will in time be similar in the US. We watch Italy because they are a bit further ahead.
All the doctors surgeries have closed here. Apparently all the doctors have been allocated to hospitals and of course, not having people sitting around in waiting rooms at the surgeries is probably a good idea. If you need to see a doctor for things like repeat prescriptions now would be a good time to get them.
I am told by an Italian I know and from some Italian blogs that if you have underlying health problems (I don't know which problems and I don't know if age is a factor) and get the virus the Italian hospitals will not treat you. I don't expect this piece of information will be well publicized.
