BYC Café

Hey there, Tonya! :hugsMissed you guys, as well. Been a rough few days here. Had to say goodbye to part of my heart last night. I'd hoped she was going to get to have one last summer of swimming, but her body was failing her. I know you know the feeling. One of my favorite pictures of my Stoli ❤

Terribly sorry Meg. Hugs.

:hugs Meg, very sad

Whip up some cookies or brownies!
Funny you should mention that, DW is making brownies right now. I don't remember the last time she baked anything, though it was a LOT more recently than the last time she made dinner. I don't have that many fingers and toes ;)
Must be the stress at work is getting to her.

Been in the 90's here last week...and actually the 1st day of Spring was Summer...92°F
:th :sick

Among my favorite 'non think' activities are : mowing lawn, fishing, training dogs, sitting by the ocean. These are times when my brain does not torment me. :lau
How interesting. I can see it with training the dogs but mowing, fishing and other things that take no mental input are when my mind goes all over. That and when I'm stressed and (not) sleeping at night.

It's always interesting seeing world leaders address the nation.
Seeing yes but I didn't understand a word he said.

Training dogs entire focus is on them and what is happening. Mowing is blank mind time when all that matters is the next round. Fishing - I'm just absorbing everything around me and watching the ripples. The ocean - it's the sound and perhaps the scenery.

Good evening, Cafe. Phew, it's been a long day and it's also the start of a long week. My job is still in full swing, luckily. And we're ramping up production even more to prepare for Easter. (I grow flowers at a greenhouse facility.) I'll be working seven days straight this week, plus overtime. Though I wonder if it all is even worth it if most churches will be webcasting Easter celebrations, so probably won't need that many flowers? My boss seems to think otherwise. Oh well. Job security!

Today was my chickens' first full day in their new coop & run, and I'm pretty sure they loved it. I just watched them put themselves to bed. My two welsummers, Leafy and Daisy, I love them but they often act like Dumb & Dumber. They're still out there pacing around and screaming because they don't understand how ramps work. Guess I'll have to put them up myself in a bit.
