That's kind of scary.
I guess they ASSUME people will wear glasses if they need them. Of course our governor wants to think people will do the right thing with regard to wearing masks and isolating if they go somewhere with higher new Covid cases. That doesn't always work out.

It's a bout shade quality I think.
I think you need to build yourself some shade areas in the plantings!

but a vehicle 7yrs(10?) or older you can buy permanent plates for.
OK, what is the logical/fiscal reason for that? Maybe yours is a personal property tax based on the presumed value of the vehicle?

Here it is pretty much just a tax, same price for all gas or diesel "on road" vehicles other than motorcycles, they are a bit less. I see that it is higher for "other fuels". So I guess you get to pay more if you have a CNG, electric or hydrogen powered vehicle? Maybe because they don't pay a gas tax for road repair? On the other hand I don't know that the registration money goes into the road maintenance bucket.

Honestly, I don't know what the reason is...

11 years. I was close!

You are correct PennyJo, it is a big Catch-22. They want people to cut back on the use of fossil fuels but the taxes on those when used in vehicles pay for things like road maintenance. Taxes on the electric bill do not. Given I had gone over 1,700 miles on < 10 gallons of gas when I filled up to go to MA a couple of weeks ago I'm not putting in a lot for road maintenance. When I got my 2004 Prius the registration was half what it was for other cars because the state was trying to encourage lower polluting vehicles.

Some have suggested bicycles be taxed since they use the roads and canoes and kayaks should have to be registered and pay that "tax" since many of them are put in at public launching ramps ... paid for by motorboat registrations.
