BYC Café

Good evening Cafe.
I've made a pot of tea if anyone is interested.
They've shut the National Park here due to an increase in Covid. People are just parking up when they aren't allowed to drive further and walking in. Normally people will drive into the park and walk their dogs etc. Now they are staying pretty much on the outskirts and that is where we are. Seven off lead dogs here today!!:he Owners completely oblivious to the fact their dogs were in with the donkeys or wanderinng around just outside my door. Chickens, sheep and ducks terrified. All day on dog watch. Slingshot tomorrow. I've had enough.
I read an article that said the only European country that was doing well with low covid-19 numbers was Estonia.

It looks like Italy is having riots

Good morning, Cafe! It's a multiple pots of coffee kind of day.

Good luck on your project, DL. Wishing you a better day :hugs

Nice work, Aart! I'll bet you're glad that's taken care of. Going to put the "screw the board to saw horse" trick in my memory bank.

I think we're at about 18". My husband has been plowing since 5am. Nahla is tickled:

All three chicken coops got a new dose of shavings, a cup of mealworms and a handful of apples. They look much happier!

You're plowing snow, and I'm still mowing lawn. Not complaining here.

My table saw is a circular saw on a small aluminum table.
Have used a router on an aluminum table and hand held.
Have a combo sliding chop saw.
Have had pieces fly off of all.
None of those scare me like the hand held circular saw.
I have used circular saws for most of my life. Likely started before the age of 15. I have never hurt myself with them.

Table saws are safe as long as the safety equipment is used. It reminds me of mandoline slicers where the guide is not used, except you do not lose a slice of skin: on a table say you can lose whole fingers!

I was fine with a compound miter saw until Dad told me he had a board fly off at him, but missed him. Took me a long time to get over the thought of that, but use it now. I didn't mind the one on the floor, it was the one on legs that got me

Oh boy, I sure wish I was still mowing :D I found green grass when I was shoveling, though. It was so pretty...

Anymore, it doesn't generally sock on like this. Not this early.

Eta: I even took a picture of it!

I started at 12, but never recalled getting instructions. Just started making bird houses.
