me too. I word-processed my thesis with Waterloo Script...including three 3-level indices - all command driven, when wysiwyg was little more than an idea! That was a huge improvement on using a typewriter, which was the norm then. And I remained ahead of most colleagues for about a decade. Then the extra benefits of new things coming along started to seem less obvious, then some new features started to be more trouble than they were worth, and so gradually I settled down with what I knew and liked, and got left behind. C'est la vie n'est pas?
I like having camera, phone and computer as distinct devices. Mobile phones [so-called; what we're talking about are hardly 'phones'] are amazing bits of kit, I just don't want one or need one. View attachment 2407391
Yes, I used to introduce computer technique at my former working space (where back then a telex was the most modern device) and was writing the programs using DOS.

But just as you pointed out so well: the rather not useful appliances provided by all kinds of uprising providers/suppliers got out of hand and really annoying, even more so as they were not compatible - on purpose!

Good morning, cafe! Thanks for the coffee, Sour.

Woke up to 4 fresh inches of snow. The roads were almost completely clear yesterday, not no-mo

I bought my current phone because the guy said it had the best camera available. I use it more for that than I do it's original purpose, but I don't much care for talking on the phone.
My favorite part of cell phones, is using voice to type. That way I don't wear out my fingers. LOL
