DH is the youngest of 7. He has 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
I just got a call from DHs middle brother. His youngest brother died this morning.
I didn't even know he'd been in the hospital.
No one calls me to keep me up to date on family issues and if they talk to DH, he doesn't remember anything to tell me. Not even that they called at all.
I knew that something had happened to his brother. They at first thought it was a stroke but it turned out not to be the case. He was home and having speech difficulty. I was quite shocked and now I've got to tell DH. It'll have to wait until I get home.
I'm sorry to hear about DH's brother, Tonya. That's terrible that they didn't keep in touch about his condition.

Good evening everyone!
Another day of mostly building confinements/runs for the chickens passed quite successfully. Just one coop/confinement/run left for tomorrow and we are done.
The chickens were not amused, they complained the whole day long claiming they need their usual freedom, and thus punished me by laying just two eggs today.

Two of the impromptu aviaries:

Is this for AI confinement, like in the UK?
Exactly. Last friday afternoon some 9 km from us the dead wild goose was found and the results proved it to have died from avian influenza.

It is already pitch dark here at 7.30 pm and we are trying to get the covered confinements ready for the five coops, as of tomorrow all poultry has to be cooped up/confined: One idiot found a dead wild goose in a field and sent it in... :duc

I hope they do not come after your flock!
