BYC Café

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee, Sour.
It's 6 degrees this morning but warming up to 14. In the coop I have two overflowing doody buckets frozen solid. I'll have to bring them in to the mud room for the day to thaw enough to empty into the compost bin. That's a pleasant thought.
We are finishing up on the storm today. We will have rain until next Thursday so should get most of the drought conditions turned around!

My recipients have the same problem and solution.

12° here this morning....but sunny!!
Got a blue egg this morning.
Either someones spray booth is locked up or a 3rd bird is back in lay.
Think it's the latter, time will tell.
I hope mine start up again soon!

Morning and thanks for the coffee! It is another beautiful day here with a slight chance of flurries tomorrow, then back to sunshine and 40's. The watching and downloading of the videos is not really user friendly. I think my internet may be too slow for the live stuff but the download and watch later works, it is just awkward. Oh well.
Enjoy the day you all!
You should be able to move to starlink up there soon! It is in beta up there currently.

It does have a steep setup cost but fairly reasonable monthly fees. It is similar to cable internet speeds too

@Meg-in-MT those are some clean eggs. Are your hens trained to wipe their feet prior to entering the nests ?

Bella LOVES snow and ice. Whenever she comes in from a potty break she stops to bite great gobs of snow off the bank on the deck. Whenever I get ice from the ice dispenser, she comes running to stare at me until I give her a cube.

Maggie helps me make supper every night. When I put ice in our glasses, she expects an ice cube and stares until I get the message.

I spent the day looking for places for DH and I to go on vacation. We haven't been away for nearly 4 years. And with him getting so much worse, I don't want to put anything off any more.
The plan had always been to go on an Alaskan cruise. The lines have all been docked since March. When they finally can sail, I don't think they'll let passengers board without having a complete vaccine. I'll never get mine any time soon.
I found a beach house in DE right on Delaware Bay about an hour away from Assateague National Park. I booked it for the third week in May.
Then I found an awesome little studio cabin in Vermont. I booked it for mid-September during peak fall foliage.
The dogs and Mogwai will come with us. My nephew (NOT useless nephew) will stay at our house and look after the flock both times.
