grocery run before the storm

And this is why I will be at the door when they open this morning.

I'm worried about Seneca, my crusty butt patient.
She drove MaeDae off the preferred nest box and went in to lay.
I hope she passes the egg. If she does, I expect blood as the sides of her vent still had crusty chunks on them that weren't ready to come off yet. And the tissue on the bottom of her vent was still covered in a thin layer. When I was doing butt checks last night, she had a piece of frozen doody dangling off a feather and I clipped it away. She also has a lot of broken pin feathers under her vent. Broken at the tips. They are coming in ridiculously slow and not shedding the sheathing when they are long enough.
I'll check on her after doing the shopping. We're due to hit 27F this afternoon and I think I can get a decent treatment session in and her well fluffed before the temp starts to drop again during the storm.

More like 6" where it blew into the coop path, but not too heavy.
Tendinitis in my shoulder for the last 4 weeks is getting better and didn't feel too bad while 'carefully' shoveling.

I've got 5 laying pullets. None lay daily which is a plus in my book. I'm averaging 6-7 a day.
Last night Mogwai knocked my coffee mug into the sink and broke 3 eggs.

I just peeked in on the run camera to see if they are more active today than yesterday and look who's out there? Seneca. I'll have to check and see if her egg is in the box.

She's still coming in for a treatment this afternoon.
