Today is supposed to be warmer and sunny. The flock has cabin fever. I didn't have the heart to lock them back in the run when half of them followed me out this morning.

They are working the perimeter of their little island!

I don't plan to grow any more fodder after this bit is done, because I can see ground. Where there is ground, there will be green stuff. Grass, weeds... yum!

How do you milk an almond ?

I almost put almond "milk"

Soak them, put them in the blender with water and grind into itty bitty bits and strain. Voila! White almond water

Sunny and 50....looks and feels nice.
The snow is gone from one leg of the run, and quickly fading from the other.
The chooks are having a ball sunbathing and digging in the slowly softening ground.

Found a broken leg band on the poop board the other day, really need to get that replaced.....along with several others. I have been remiss in keeping them refreshed.

Decluttering technique. Got a new bag of feed transferred today, took the empty bag into the house and stuffed it full of stuff to send to the landfill. Have used them before like this.

Yeah, can't call it milk anymore since it is non dairy. Of course I don't think much of white almond water any more than I do of white fat free milk water.

I don't like the store bought stuff, added sugar and what not. I do like just plain old almond flavored water with no additives, though.
