Why did I ever give Maggie Mae an empty Gatorade bottle as a toy ?![]()
Wow she’s big!!That it makes a hellaciously wonderful clatter on our wooden floors. So much more fun than her multitude of plush toys.
So far, sadly, she is not destroying it. If she were I would have a legitimate excuse for trashing her 'favorite'. Initially I put treats inside and left the cap on = what a wonderful clatter that made. She readily learned how to remove the cap. Tossed that as we feared she would swallow it. Last growth check she was 22+ inches at the shoulder and weighed 38 pounds of bone and muscle. She's grown since then.

Luckily the yard here is fenced but even when I take him over to “Grandpaw’s” he stays right with me like a good boy.Maggie is a stick collector. Just to the left of our front porch is a pile of kindling that she has tried to bring into the house. We've activated the Invisible Fence, and next week a technician is coming to check it out, flag it, and give Maggie a training session. I will continue to train for a week, and she will then return and give an 'educational' training session. I've been keeping her on a long flexi as she is QUICK. Free ranging will help work off some energy.
Good morning Cafe. Had a cold front come through yesterday. Got cold enough at 5pm yesterday I told the kids lets go into the garage I'm cold. Spent the last 12hrs trying to get the stove going again. Put in a cresote log which is supposed to be self lighting at about 6 yesterday to clean out the flue. Put another round of lighter fluid and bark on it at 12am.
It should dry out enough this week to move some of the piled up hay and manure to some of the low bare spots.
I give my heeler those "indistructable" horse balls. The size of a basketball and she can catch it and crush it in mid air. It's time for a new one actually.
Is that one of those Jolly Ball things? I’ve always wanted to try one. I got Gator one of those big hard plastic balls a while ago. Not Jolly Ball but for dogs. I forget what brand it was now and when I looked it up, it seems there are several similar products now but it’s not those. But it was very hard plastic and about the size of a basketball like yours but no handle or anything. Mine was orange but they have different colors now. ANYWAY. The idea is for high energy dogs to wrestle it and “herd” it and wear them out but he didn’t want to play with itGood morning Cafe. Had a cold front come through yesterday. It will be good to let her run. How much space will she have when the she's in the fence?Maggie is a stick collector.
