Mornin', y'all! :frow

Hubs and I joke that when the saucer magnolias bloom, that's a signal that we are about to get one more freeze . . . .

Yup, right on time.

The blueberries are in full bloom.

This is probably going to make a mess for the local strawberry growers; it may put paid to the blueberry crop as well.:(

And, I can probably say goodbye to this show:

@Shadrach Maybe your phone is like mine? When it rings, it shows the phone # of the caller near the top of the screen, along with the caller's name (if known). Near the bottom of the screen, two icons appear, a green one to answer the call, and a red one to reject it. You have to touch the icon of choice, and then swipe a short distance to one side for the phone to answer or reject the call - the two-step response is supposed to cut down on accidental answers and hang-ups.:idunno

Not nice, but it did make me laugh.
One of the Marans, is smaller and not as ative as the others.
May be fail to thrive or just a bit slow.
Had a chick once that didn't eat or drink for 3 days, just kinda slowly wandered around when it wasn't standing staring at nothing. Then all of sudden it started chowing down and seemed fine. Not sure how it did in the long run as I was hatching for someone else's flock.

ETA: All are alive and very active this morning.
Funny, they all woke up and poured out chittering from under the heater while it was still pretty dark down there.
Sorry, Aart. A frivolous attempt at humor, not meant to raise eyebrows

Glad to hear everyone is doing well today! I wonder how much of it is them still absorbing yolk as opposed to being "shocked" by the move.

I think the official population is a bit over two thousand.
There are three villages sort of crammed together, so the effected area/population is likely to be around six thousand.
What is going to make matters worse is it's Easter. Lots of people going to church, kissing and hugging and they'll leave church and go and infect the rest of their families. It's going to be a real mess here in a couple of weeks.:(
And already a few lives have been lost? That's scary. Of course the outbreak is followed directly by a holiday. :(

My husband and dad met a lady to look at a job yesterday. She's moving here after having lived in New York and working as a nurse. I would expect people in that profession to take covid seriously, which includes (of course) social distancing. Instead, she hugs the electrician that she'd never met for seemingly no reason. I have a hard time understanding people...Let's not and say we didn't, huh?

Stay safe.

That's beautiful, BunnyLady! So glad you shared your greenery. Here's hoping you don't get a hard freeze :fl

I passed out on the couch this morning after taking care of the animals. :barnie I've got to log into work at some point and make up the hours I owe.

I also have to vacuum and shampoo the old living room furniture and run an ad for it to get it out of the house for the new furniture I bought to replace it. I'm sick of squeezing through the front door because it's so crowded there. The furniture I bought 4 summers ago is just too big for our small house.

I spent a total of 77 minutes on hold waiting for an IRS representative to answer the phone yesterday. I finally got through and explained we are now past the one year anniversary of me filing my 2019 return and it still hasn't been processed. Nor my 2020 return that I filed on Feb 17 this year.

The government currently owes me just under $4,000. I wonder if I'll also be paid interest as they would have charged ME interest if I didn't pay THEM. And a penalty. They should have to pay that too.

Do I NEED it to make ends meet? No. That's not the point. I don't know of many people who would leave that kind of money on the table and not try to put it in their account. I DID just purchase furniture and I have to finish this house so the money has been trickling away.

The woman I spoke with claimed that she submitted a ticket to get it looked into and processed and if I don't hear from someone within the next 30 days to call back. That's just great. I predict I will be calling every 30 days. This time she DID blame the back log on Covid-19.
