BYC Café

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee, LF. Sorry about your Peonies and bumblebees.
Back to work today but just a half day to make up time from the vacation.
How do you feel so ungraciously thrown back into work life after your wonderful week on the shore?

I hope your DH is coping well this the changes and enjoys being home again.

It only being a half day makes it go down easier!

DH is happy to be home. Everything is green here, the wild flowering shrubs are in bloom and scenting the air and the birds are singing in full swing so it's very nice here.

It's funny as the day before we left we had to burn a fire in the stove to take the chill off the air as it was 36 degrees that morning. The day we got back I had to open up all the windows to get the heat out of the house. It was 84 degrees!

That sure is a vast change for just one week!

I wish it would warm up here, I am really tired of cold and continuous rainfall. And at only two weeks of age, my chicks would like some sunshine too. They are out and about with their momma hen, but they have to burn most of their energy to stay warm instead of growing.

Had a nice cool and cloudy day yesterday, got caught up on some domestics including cooking a hot meal.
Back up into the upper 80's today....then cooling and I sure hope that rain forecast comes thru, it's dry as a bone here.

Anyone else noticing an overabundance of carpenter bees this year?
No, but I'll be on the look out now.

I've got to spray around the foundation and window and door openings with Home Defense. I do that every year and it makes a big difference on the number of critters that don't come in the house.

Me too! Terri DeBoer says 1-2" possible Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. I really hope she's right. We need a good soaking.

High of 59 Friday. Might need a fire in the woodstove. I'm ok with that!
