DH came home yesterday!

Was just wondering about that.

Highs only in the 40's this week, next week back up in the 50's(I Hope so I can wash the windows.) Getting the winter waterer ready to assemble and install.

Trying to prepare for the time change by going to bed and getting up later.
It's still going to stink, as much as the darkness that continues to descend.

He had a great time but 2 consecutive weeks away from home is now just too much for him. It'll have to be broken up in the future.

No. He was homesick and for some strange reason, was missing me quite a lot. DH must have been mentioning it to his brother because he mentioned it to me.

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee! I am dodging a kitten butt trying to see the screen. He is on fire this morning!
We actually had some treaters come by, braving the cold and snow flakes. There is a thick crust of ice on the vehicles this morning. I guess fall is over...

Got at least two weeks of this Halloween/Fireworks nonsense to endure.

Two weeks!? Why does the community put up with that? Especially when they are throwing flaming flash bangs around and into people's chicken yards. One night of revelry is plenty.

True. At the moment mine are in the coop before 6, earlier if it is really cloudy. Of course DW thinks we should eat at 6. Hard to make dinner and close up the girls at the same time.

Of course he missed you, maybe even more due to his condition where I imagine constancy is a comfort?

Frost here, finally. It's the latest I can recall. Normal first average frost is 1 October to 10 October, and we're 3 weeks past that.
