Bella caught her first woodchuck of the season.

Care to bring her here for a visit? DD2 spotted one in front of the barn this morning. I do NOT want another chuck (or worse family of them)!! Time to put the trap out I guess.

2 broodies in nest at lock up last night, 1 took a painful and bloody chunk out of my pinkie next to the cuticle(b!tch!)

Some of mine get angry but I've never lost any flesh or blood!

I feel semi-human this morning. But I must have slept 14 hours last night.

I think all the emotional stress you've been under is wearing your physical health down. It's not just chickens that stress makes sick.

We got 7 posts in for the fence today! We might end up one post short, but we have a couple of 10' T posts we can use.

We aren't going to move the big rock after all. We shifted the fence line so that the rock is just outside. Which is good. Here's a picture of the rock with my size 11 foot for scale.

We played in the pastures with the manure spreader today. I had to watch for rocks too!

I had to keep telling myself, "The only way out is through," when I was rehabbing my broken wrist. More than one person (jokingly) said, "You still fighting with that thing? Why not chop it off and be done with it?"
