Cafe, I've put on another pot of coffee. I need a second cup today!

It looks like you will have some nice olive colored eggs too. The dark one will look more green when the brown starts to fade.

A person should not have to live in fear of their DOG locking them out. It's just not right!
I can't imagine the look I had on my face when I tried to open that door and realized what she'd done.

We had the same thing happen to us, but it was a regular door.

DL, my brother's dog would open the slider. So they put a chair in front of it. That worked until he learned he could move the chair out of the way.

Glad you had a key. We have one hidden outside the house too. It's saved me at least once.

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee, OSO.

This morning I discovered that Bella has been trying to work the sliding glass door. I learned on vacation that she can not only open a lever style handled door but also doors with round knobs. This morning she must have been nosing the sliding glass door after I went out to take care of the chickens and managed to flip the lever down and SHE LOCKED ME OUT!!!
Thank goodness I have a key to the front door hidden outside the house.

It’s a chilly morning, but not quite cold enough to light the wood stove. Just enjoying the hot coffee before making breakfast.

Chores today include digging dahlias, planting garlic, harvesting nasturtium seeds, and trying to match more pullets to their eggs!
