I have read a lot of people regret having it done. I have the same condition with my eyes, one near and one far but I only have a prescription for reading.

There's a doctor in Grand Rapids who has lasik ads every hour on TV, it seems. He says most of his patients "wish they'd done it sooner."

I was not considering it. Even more so now.

Yup. No kids here, either. Knew I didn't want them by the time I was about 12.

I babysat a lot, and saw little angels and little devils, the whole spectrum. I flat out told my mom the I hoped she was happy with whatever grandkids my brother and sister would give her, as I wasn't planning on having any. She looked wistful and said, "You could have a little girl like Jenny..." (the little angel I babysat). I replied, "Yeah, but I could have a little boy like Mike (my psycho cousin who has caused our family tons of grief). Her face stopped looking wistful, and she said, "Point taken." She never mentioned it again.

I lost my hair, but it was worth it. Children beget grandchildren upon occasion, and they are fun.
