Sometimes one hears from others things that have been said about you. My family in general have it seems been taking bets on how I am going to cope being retired. The bet is more grumpy or less.

When someone enquired of my eldest what I am like these days, their response was, "make him tea, feed him and he's fine if you don't say anything stupid."

DH is so pissed that we don't have snow. Yeah, dear... look at the weather they're getting in other parts of the country and shut up already.
