Good morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee DL!

It's deceptively nice this morning out, considering the storm that is on its way. Hopefully we don't loose power!

I just signed up to make sandwiches for the Dahlia Society Meeting next Wednesday night - when asked if there was a preferred kind I was referred to the traditional Nova Scotia egg salad or canned ham. Now, the egg salad I can get on board with as I have a steady flow of eggs! Canned ham and mayo... not my jam. So I shall get creative (but not too creative) in providing some nice alternative tea sandwiches for the meeting. Maybe a turkey salad with the turkey we raised or the traditional herbed cream cheese and cucumber incase there are some who don't want mayo (like myself - it's one of the only things I don't care for, but I will eat it if it's served as I dislike even more to make a fuss). Those are the thoughts running through my head this morning. Sorry for the ramble!

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee. "Get the deer" and "Get the squirrel" are commands our dogs have quickly learned. One day I returned home, and the Princess sarcastically said, "Well, you should be proud of yourself. Check over by the pine tree." There was a dead squirrel that Livvie had caught. We installed 'Invisible Fence", and the deer quickly learned just how far a dog would chase them. Now that Maggie is gone, they are coming right up to the house. They've done minimal damage to the shrubs as I keep them sprayed with repellent.

Forecast for 6+" of snow Friday.
Temps at just above freezing, so it will probably be wet heavy snow.
I have some fire wood left, and better fill the tub and jugs up.
Hoping like hell they are wrong, or at the least that we don't lose power again.

I am not huge fan of Mayo can mix with Di John mustard then not so bad.
39 had rain in the night. brought a pot of coffee.
I taught my Tervuren get the geese lived on lake they crapped all over the yard.

I brought a fresh pot for all to enjoy

After a few days of sunshine and clear blue sky temps are back to freezing and the sky is charcoal grey again.

DH is finally recovering although more slowly this time around and with all the therapy and doctor's appointments I hardly find any time for BYC anymore. But I miss you all!
