Good morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee DL!
It's deceptively nice this morning out, considering the storm that is on its way. Hopefully we don't loose power!
I just signed up to make sandwiches for the Dahlia Society Meeting next Wednesday night - when asked if there was a preferred kind I was referred to the traditional Nova Scotia egg salad or canned ham. Now, the egg salad I can get on board with as I have a steady flow of eggs! Canned ham and mayo... not my jam. So I shall get creative (but not too creative) in providing some nice alternative tea sandwiches for the meeting. Maybe a turkey salad with the turkey we raised or the traditional herbed cream cheese and cucumber incase there are some who don't want mayo (like myself
- it's one of the only things I don't care for, but I will eat it if it's served as I dislike even more to make a fuss). Those are the thoughts running through my head this morning. Sorry for the ramble!
Here's a photo of the skiff of sea ice that has come in with the last week of cold temperatures!
