BYC Café

I brought more coffee. A lot to do today!

It's the only above 68 degree day in the forecast, so this will be my day to get some painting done, and a couple more outdoor things that require decent temps.

DH made it safely to North Carolina. That is a looooong drive from Michigan. Freya did well on the trip, but was bored, I'm sure.

The nearby town has what they call the "Grand Slam" the first weekend of May. An entire neighborhood has yard/garage sales that weekend. I have never gone, but a neighbor told me it is well worth it! DH and I are going this year for sure.

That town, Lowell, has certainly moved up the economic ladder. Bigger houses, and more of them. Another thing that suggests there is a fair amount of moola around is that there are at least 6 marijuana shops. :hmm And it's a small town, both in size and population. Under 4200 in 2021. No, I didn't drop a zero on the number.

Good afternoon Cafe!

Didn't bring anything today but a bad weather report. I am getting sick and tired of thunderstorms, all the rain and cold :rant
And on top I won't have any chicks this year to distract me. But with the ongoing nasty weather it sure is a blessing to not have to worry about them drowning or getting sick.

SIX pot shops for 4200 people? Either some will fail or there are a WHOLE lotta people that want to get high and stay there.

I wonder what percentage of people who did not smoke pot because it was illegal are now flocking to the legal stores. Is there a big pent up demand?

Or are most of the buyers those who now pay tax to get their pot legally where it was tax free before?

The third option of course is "I wasn't interested when it was illegal, still not interested"
