My Visa was hacked 2 days ago. I got a call from my bank asking to confirm some recent on-line purchases. The first was for over $3,400 and the second for over $1,000. I was super pissed. Card shut down and now I have to wait over another week for my replacement card to arrive in the mail.
Serious PITA. Got a message on the machine Monday last week. I hadn't listened to it since there was a junk call message I knew about and ASS U ME D that was what the flashing light was for. Card denied at the grocery store Thursday. 3 times. Used my CU card. Listened to the Monday message - CITI bank calling about odd charges.
I called the number, talked to a nice lady dying of heat in Texas. I have NO idea how my card got hacked, I've not used it anywhere odd nor has it been out of my sight. Several odd charges, including one for a food delivery company in So Cal. in a city I've never been to and I've not lived in So. Cal for 44 years. I sure as heck wasn't sending food to anyone there!
They expedited the new card, I got an email yesterday at 2 pm saying it was delivered. Um, nope. There was a picture showing proof of delivery. Um, I do not have any steps like that anywhere on the property. Neighbor across the road brought it over about 6:30 PM as DD2 was returning from dealing with some animals she is feeding/watering while the owners are gone.
I had put a post on the Front Porch Forum. You have to have a subject, type in FEDEX and up pops some suggestions the first being "Missing FEDEX package they say was delivered". Shows how (not) good the FEDEX delivery guys are here.
Now dealing with changing all the places where the card is saved. Another PITA. Everyone one of them wants to text a verification number to a cell phone for me to enter on the web site. Our cell service sucks so bad 99% of the time the phone says either "SOS only" or "No service".
Worked in the garden did not know how late is got so went to dinner at Nacho's Mexican here in town.
A very seasonal problem! Light until 9, easy to lose track of time. In December it is the opposite. Seems like it should be dinner time because the sun has gone down, yet it is only 4 PM.
Several months ago our daughter had her last pug euthanized. SIL said, "NO more dogs." Got a text this morning that she is on a breeder list for a puppy in late Nov. The girl is a bulldog just like her mother. SMH.
I guess we know who wears the pants in the family. Either that or we know you will soon be hosting your daughter and her new puppy

Bad news. My eldest has just sent me a text telling me a plant of hers has flowered and asking if she had already given me one of the babies...
Another baby to take care of on the horizon I guess.
I am absolutely positively certain you have shown us a picture of that plant she gave you a while back.

Still feel like a spring chicken over here though. 
We don't seem to have as many up here in Canada - many places they are restricted for personal use (and even though rurally here in Nova Scotia it's a free for all year round, we don't get people really using them that often).
