Good afternoon - a fresh pot of coffee is ready. At the field trial today someone backed an ATV into me and over my right ankle. Thankfully the ground is soft and my ankle got pushed down into it. Hurt when it was happening, but now it looks and feels okay. Tomorrow will tell the tale.

I was shocked at how much crud I cleaned out the chimney and stove. It's got a brand new combustor in it and it's prepped for the first fire of the season. House isn't cold enough to light it yet. Bella disagrees.

Oh, Sour! My heart skipped a beat when I read, “someone backed an ATV into me…” Glad to see that it looks and feels OK. You’re right - tomorrow it might feel a little different.

Other than the ATV incident, how did the field trial go?

We’re having a lovely Sunday afternoon here. After church, we took the kids to pizza, then came home to paint rocks. Now one is playing with Lincoln Logs, and the other one is playing kitchen. I think we’ll head outside pretty soon. It’s a beautiful day out there.

You're probably lucky they didn't run over more than that.

He's the son of one of my best friends - calls me Uncle George. He was absolutely chagrined and concerned as was everyone.

Trial was hard work as the rabbit population is at a low, but we got it done. First day was judged very well - today not so well.
