BYC Café

Anyone who thinks living in the country is quiet has never heard hundreds of geese flying overhead. Or dozens of pheasants waking up at sunrise and going to bed at sundown. Or the whistling whoosh of wings as a flock of swans flies by. Or the constant mumbling of ducks in a slough. Or a woodpecker pounding holes in a tree. (They’re even louder when, for who knows why, they decide they need to pound on a metal grain bin.)
Or the woodpecker pounding at the soffit just outside my bedroom window, or the foxes shrieking like babies being murdered also just outside my bedroom window!

Good morning Cafe'. Coffee has been served anyway you like it. I've had a cup and I'm going to spend the morning with my special lady. I don't feel safe yet going to her so she came to me. Have a great Monday everyone.

...and the toads and peepers and insects and..... lots of sounds once you get rid of the traffic and other city sounds. Wood peckers also tap for territory. I want to know why they bored holes in a chipboard door then went thru 2" of foamboard SMH.

Yeppers...and raccoons 'fighting or...'

Three nice days coming up!
Lots of sunny days here in the last week and more ahead.
Really helps me with adjusting to the time change.

Cooling temps outside mean re-baiting all the mouse traps inside, got 4 in the last 24 hours.

Good Morning all! HAPPY MONDAY!!!
It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next Thursday ALREADY!!! where oh where did this month go?? I have so much to do next week that I was going to start a couple days early but FH threw such a fit that I'm waiting until Wednesday to do it all even if that means I have to stay up wwwwwaaaaayyyyy late to get it done! He's suppose to have that Friday off so hopefully we'll start getting the outside Christmas deco up then and finish on Sunday but who knows.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! Heal up, Cafe! :hugs

So..., You are what you eat. That is absolutely true from my experience.
I am a science /nutrition freaky person with all the kids, sports, and the animals.
A few years ago (~10) there were starting to be papers published about the microbiome with vitamin/ mineral and all of the little relationships that were becoming apparent. On top of that, there were also more studies about the western diet (processed foods) and all of the interactions that were changing our metabolism, making us more susceptible to an array of damaging issues.
Then, they discovered a relationship between the microbiome and the feedback to the brain and hormone balance. If you combine just those "new" revelations, you have the ability to make dietary changes and help your body start to feel better.
Here is a link to a podcast that has a well known microbiologist on it.
Kiran Krishnan He explains the general research findings. One of the changes he suggests is eating your food outside without washing your hands.
How many people would freak out about that one....LOL.
Ignore the fluff and do you own investigations. ( There will always be fluff when it comes to making money. )
