BYC Café

We had one of those "count down to Christmas" things at work. It sat on the table in the break room. Since hubby and I were usually the first ones there (and often the last to leave:rolleyes:), I took great delight in changing the number.

When there was a changing of the guard and that thing was going to be tossed out, I snagged it and used it to count down the months to retirement.

When is your retirement date?

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Last night, Piper wouldn't stop obsessing over looking out one of the bedroom windows and growling. I looked and didn't see anything but she wouldn't stop. Bella did not join her and that was the only thing that let me fall asleep.

There has been an increase in car and home break-ins in the area. Break-ins while people are asleep in their homes. Probably not my specific area as I'm up on a hill on a dead end road. Not so easy to sneak around up here.
You should get a couple guard dogs! :lau

Well, dang. I was wondering why I hadn't gotten a Christmas card from my step-mom. Yeah, she passed away, and no one let me know. She was the last of my elders.

RIP, Shirley.
It is hard when the oldest generation passes on. That means our generation is next.

Bella makes the cut.
Piper is the alarm system that keeps getting set off and you have to apologize when the security company calls and you have to keep telling them that you forgot to deactivate the system before opening the window...
