Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

The rain is already here.

I noticed the waterfall was not running this morning. I checked the GFCI and it had popped but would not reset. So I ran out and lifted the lid on the bench that houses the pump and discovered the power strip was sitting in about a 1/2" of water! Thank goodness for GFCIs!!

When I mulched around the pond I mulched around the bench too and that prevented the rain water from flowing out under it. So I quickly hand-dug a little trench to get the water to flow and then readjusted the where the plug was so it could never sit in water again and fired the circuit back up. Pump is running.

I'll make more permanent adjustments next weekend.

Another warm and sunny day here. Yesterday it got to 27C (81F), which is fairly warm for this time of year. I'm in the middle of hand-stripping Salt (who is not so little anymore). Buoy is next on the agenda. Just in time for the good weather!

Another loverly sunny day...got kinda hot(~80) outside, but after a night in the 50's the house stayed pretty cool. Rained late yesterday and overnight. Even cooler tonight/tomorrow.
Plan to get the shade cloth up before midweek when it's gonna get nasty hot during the days again.
Got feed moved to coop this afternoon.
Found a broody(?) in a nest last night, moved her to a breaker crate, but she's not clucking. <shrugs> She's the stubborn one that takes one or two rounds of 4-5 days to break.
