Follow up appointment went well. Up until I passed out!
I asked her to get the steri-strips off my back but she didn't use adhesive remover so I kept feeling it tug on my healed incision. Ge-ross!
She was getting ready to leave to try to find adhesive remover packs to clean off my back and I informed her "I need to sit down".
I could hear the echoing in my ears which prefaces the passing out. As I sat in the chair it got louder and louder.
Then the nurse was anxiously sliding a chair over to me and lifting my feet to put them on the chair. And a BP cuff had magically appeared on my arm and an ice pack on my head! She kept asking if I needed to go to the hospital!
Huh? I said, "did I pass out"?
She said, "yes!"
I asked if my eyes were closed.
She said, "NO!"
She said my BP dropped out and when I felt the cuff, that was the second time it was taking a reading. She took it off after the 3rd reading and said it was back to normal.
I also got a juice pouch and some hard blueberry biscuits to help get my glucose up because I hadn't eaten in almost 7 hrs. What can I say, I wasn't hungry.
No PT ordered. I'm doing great. Keep doing what you're doing and build up slowly. Still no lifting, twisting, bending. Follow up with the surgeon in 4 weeks.
