BYC Café

Good morning y'all
This morning serving Hazelnut coffee
I was being tested last night, my dog hangs out on our porch while we eat dinner. When I let him in for his dinner he barely moved, his eyes were droopy and he acted lethargic. Something was wrong, couldn't figure it out 😕. I became scared of loosing another dog, Lord I can't do it again!
After a few minutes he started moving around and was back to normal, he ate his dinner, he then proceeded to chew on his paws and rub his face on soft surfaces.
I've never seen this behavior before from any of my other animals.
This morning he's his normal boustrist self 😄

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
We had some rain again.
Today, I am heading over to process the last of these apples with my DIL. I am pretty sure she doesn't know the time that it just might take but it will be an adventure and I can always spend the night if the youngster happens to cause a wrinkle or two in time. She also mentioned that she wanted to make some berry fruit jam so it could be interesting. At least the kitchen is good sized!
@Mama Lyle , it sounds like maybe he was stung by something...
I am glad your dog is okay!
Enjoy the day, Cafe!

Good morning Mtn Margie
I was thinking the same thing about my dog, he likes eating bugs , I'm wondering if he tried or did eat a spider. I saw a small web near the door.
My hubby had me freaking out thinking that my dog was having a some type of seizure last night.
This isn't the first time this dog has gotten me worried and/or hurt, he's gotten cactus spikes in his paws, he did step on a ground wasp nest and gotten stung on his paws. Last week he jumped around (playing) around metal post I didn't know he could reach and sliced his paw.
I've only had my dog for about 3 months, he's so sweet and playful. He definitely has lots to learn. Lol

I dusted all the chicken areas with FSL & Sweet PDZ
This PDZ will do not a thing for external parasites if that is what you think the issue is. What is FSL.
Have you physically examined the birds for lice or mites?
DE/herb stuff in it
This doesn't do anything either other than act as a respiratory irritant.
Except the Fibro EE seems a little off. She's crowing
Post a picture. How old?
My hen Annie is over 4 years old and a known crower. She sounds pathetic when she does it.

When we were doing pond maintenance Sunday I found about a 1" shubunkin baby in the lilies! I was thrilled to find it. All the babies from last year and this year look to be sarasas but haven't developed a lot of white yet.
I only have the 3 shubunkins.

And when I was pruning the bog I saw the teeniest, tiniest fry in there. Maybe 1/4". I didn't see a later spawn but they must have for that one to be so small this late in the season.

This is my third lotus flower.

I'm letting the first 2 seed pods fully develop to see if I can grow more lotus from them. I'd just sell them if I can. I don't have room in the pond for them. I'll put a pot in the bog to try to raise lotus tubers from seed just to see if I can.

Do any of the fry come out 'wild color' green?
Not yet.
I had a black one from this year that is already turning gold. But pretty much all of this years babies stick to the bottom of the pond or the plants. They aren't comfortable enough to join the older fish yet.

Good afternoon 12 here still at 67.
Bit cool but the sun is out.
This morning/early afternoon was beautiful. We started having relativity short, hard downpours around 2:30. We're on #4 right now. Hoping it clears up so the ward run upgrade can get done.
So much for cutting the grass. The last time it was done was the day before surgery.
