Going to spend the day tidying up the house, cleaning the pond and packing meals for me and the girls in case I feel like extending tomorrow's trip into Tuesday.

My mom's ok, but very near her area in the Smokies was pretty devastated. A dam broke in Lake Lure, TN and there was catastrophic flooding—towns in TN and NC are underwater. The entire town of Chimney Rock, NC is gone.

When we were working on the shower yesterday, filled with angst, I kept thinking, "Hey, this is nothing compared to what other people have to deal with, thanks to Helene. Like Aart."

Did you get the vaccine? No blame if you didn't! Hubby and I did, and if you did and still got shingles... Another thing I can worry about, I guess.

No I did not get the vaccine.

Once these go dormant or whatever they do I will get the vaccine.
