BYC Café

I bought a 25# flock block and a 50# bag of turkey feed for the wild flock that has been traipsing through my yard all winter.
A herd of 8 deer wiped out the block and the one quart of feed I spread out when I first bought it. The block was gone in 3 days.
I saw some turkey this morning so I went out and spread another quart for them. They all ran off when I went out but they are back now and eating it! FINALLY the turkey get to eat the turkey food.

Good Morning All,

I am having my 1st cup of coffee now, and it is humid and light rain outside. 1st cup of coffee tastes so good in the morning.

For the last 3 consecutive days I took mom to swimming pool to do her legs exercises. What I found is that I come home smell of chemical even after shower. So yuk, I do not like this smell at all.
I don't remember swimming pool smell this bad.
I was in the water with my mom.

We went to 2 different swimming pools and they are not much different with the smell.

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee!
It is warmer here today with 23F out there and we have over a week of snow chances with the word "upslope" making an appearance, and that means that they do not know how much snow may fall. We have had nothing when 2 ft. was predicted and 7 ft. when 2 ft. was predicted. I am officially a 7 ft. prepper person because that slows things down and makes life interesting for weeks. LOL!

MORF bought a blood sugar checker yesterday and I think he is doing okay adjusting to being back home. He said that he misses rehab with the chaos and the 3 meals a day, kinda like empty nesting it I suppose.
Penny, I hope DH is doing better!
Not much else is going on around here as we wait for the weather to do something.
Enjoy the day, Cafe!

A balmy just below freezing this morning, enjoying it while trying not to think of the single digit run for next week.
Got an inch or so last night, everything chicken shoveled clear to prep for the maybe 4-6", plus maybe freezing rain, for today and tomorrow.

We have had nothing when 2 ft. was predicted and 7 ft. when 2 ft. was predicted.
Ya, just never know, eh?
I usually think 0-18" when they forecast 4-6".
...and tired aching old body is damn glad when it's at the low end.
